Soumos Custom Gloves:
How to Take Your Measurements for a Comfortable Fit on You

To ensure your Soumos gloves are made to wear comfortably on you, please follow the steps below carefully while watching the video and referring to the measurement diagram (sent by email).

These instructions are used for the custom making of leather gloves for both men and women, including short gloves and long opera gloves. In the example shown in the video, we use a glove length of 40 cm to collect the measurements, but the same method can be used as a reference for much longer gloves, such as 80 cm or more, which will include additional arm points such as C, D, E, and so on.

For short gloves, simply ignore measurements A and B, as these are only needed for long gloves that extend along the arm.

Start with measurements A and B. Measure 30 cm and 40 cm from the tip of your middle finger down along your arm. Mark both points clearly on your skin with a pen. Then, at each mark, measure the circumference of your arm by placing the tape measure at the center of the mark.

For longer gloves, additional arm points such as C, D, and E are included to ensure a comfortable fit along the entire length of the arm.

For finger measurements G, H, I, J, and K, use a ruler or a card to help. Hold the card perpendicular to each finger and measure from the base of the finger to the fingertip.

For measurement L, measure the circumference of your palm at the upper base of the thumb.

For measurement M, measure the circumference of your middle finger at the base of the finger.

Take your time and make sure the tape is correct but not tight. Accurate measurements are essential to create a glove that fits your hand and arm comfortably and naturally, for both men and women, whether it is a short elegant glove or a long opera-style piece.
